Chief Registrar Inspects the Judiciary Call Centre

This morning the Chief Registrar, HW Sarah Langa Siu, accompanied by her Private Legal Secretary HW Patricia Amoko, paid a visit to the Judiciary Call Centre.

She was welcomed by the Senior Communications Officer / Judiciary Call Centre Supervisor Ms Halimah Kaggwa.

During the visit, the Chief Registrar reviewed the call centre' s performance metric sincluding call traffic and categories and reviewed how issues received by the centre are resolved.

She was updated on the inquiry fields in the call centre system based on inquiries frequently received, including ECCMIS, bail refund, general inquiries, land and property disputes, labour issues, gender-based violence and corruption allegations. She advised that absenteeism should be included on its own as one of the fields if such calls are also frequent.

The Call Centre staff highlighted the challenges they face such as understaffing, low public awareness of the toll-free number and technical issues, which if resolved would enhance performance.

The Chief Registrar proposed the development of an informercial showcasing the Judiciary Call Centre Services to enhance public awareness of the Centre. She concluded the visit by thanking the team for their good work and dedication.

The Judiciary Call Centre is located at the Supreme Court building Ground Floor, Room 004.
